Trophy Trout Territory
Brown and Rainbow trout in Patagonia are legendary for their power and aggressive takes, offering anglers intense and unforgettable battles in truly wild settings.
These species thrive in the cold, clear waters of southern Chile and Argentina — from glacier-fed rivers and spring creeks to remote lakes like Strobel (Jurassic Lake). The Rio Grande, the Baker River and many hidden tributaries hold trophy-sized fish, often exceeding 24 inches.
With strong populations and virtually untouched waters, it’s not uncommon for anglers to hook into dozens of hard-fighting trout during their stay.
